Salvation is one of the basic theological beliefs that is paramount to our understanding of the very love of God and for our entrance into the portals of Heaven. (Eph. 2:8-9)[1] I believe through this amazing testament that salvation has been offered to humankind as a direct gift from God to everyone who would believe and accept it. (John 3:16)[2] There is absolutely nothing we can do at all to earn, enhance or receive this gift outside of the very grace of God.

Because of these foundational verses and many others similar to them I believe that no one can enter the Kingdom of God unless they are truly born again and become righteous. (2 Corinthians 5:21)[3]

Through salvation a new nature is given to us from above, a new life by the Holy Spirit through the Word of God, is necessary for salvation to genuinely take place in an individual and because of that we become the sons  and daughters of God. (John 1:12)[4]

This salvation only comes by the blood of the pure Lamb of God that was crucified on the cross and was placed in a borrowed tomb, but gloriously resurrected on the third day. (Rev 5:12)[5]  The sacrificial shed blood of Jesus made a sin atonement once and for all to whosoever will believe. (Hebrews 10:10)[6] Jesus, who knew no sin, was made to be the sacrifice for our sins. (2 Cor. 5:21)[7] There is nothing at all that we can do to add or diminish what Christ was able to accomplish on the cross of Calvary so that we are unable to boast.

When someone who is living in their sins puts faith in Jesus Christ and repents from their sinfulness with a broken and contrite spirit they are immediately saved and regenerated completely. (Isaiah 66:2)[8]  The Bible states that they have went from Spiritual death to spiritual life and that all things become new. (John 5:24)[9] (2 Cor. 5:17)[10]This creates an eternal relationship with the Lord, hence they are “saved” from their past, their sins, their eternal damnation and brought into the realization of a new abundant life, eternal home in Heaven and a freedom of their sins.
