Welcome! I’m Pastor Donald, and it has been my honor to serve as pastor of Moraine City First Church of God since April 1, 2018. I love sharing God’s Word, encouraging people through life’s challenges, and helping them grow in their relationship with Jesus.

God has blessed me with a wonderful family. My wife, Denise, is a godly woman whose love and faith are a constant blessing to me. We have two beautiful daughters, Hannah and Natalie, and a loving, energetic son, Jake. We also have the joy of being grandparents to five grandsons—Craig, Casen, Eli, Tucker, and Wyatt —and one beautiful granddaughter, Presley. They bring so much love and laughter into our lives!

My ministry journey began in my early twenties when God called me to serve as a full-time missionary in Guatemala, Central America. Those years changed my life and deepened my love for sharing the gospel. They taught me lessons about faith, service, and loving people that continue to shape my ministry today.

After several years in Guatemala, I served as pastor of a church in New Castle, Indiana. Later, God led me back into international missions as President and CEO of Children’s Lifeline in Haiti. Serving alongside people facing tremendous challenges taught me to appreciate everyday blessings and reminded me that every person, regardless of background or nationality, is deeply loved by God.

Each place I have served has helped prepare me for the privilege of pastoring here in Moraine City. My heart is to help people know Jesus, understand His Word, and put their faith into practice. Our church’s mission expresses that desire simply: Love God. Love People. Make Disciples.

Originally from Kentucky, I earned my bachelor’s degree from Eastern Kentucky University. When I’m not preaching or serving the church, I enjoy playing golf, working on my little farm, and spending time with family and friends.
