From the quiet of the front pew on a Monday morning, I caught a glimpse of something that I had not noticed before, and it struck me as so profoundly beautiful.
Knee prints.
Knee prints on the altar- still there from the day before. As I enjoyed the sunlight and the quiet, I thought of those that left the knee prints. People that God loves, being obedient to His call to come, humbling themselves, pouring out burdens too heavy to bear, receiving forgiveness, healing and peace or maybe thanking God for His goodness. Of course we can talk to Him anywhere, but how amazing it is to have the freedom and privilege to approach the Lord in a beautiful place as this!
An altar being used is evidence of a church alive. Thank you Lord that we are no longer a church just surviving, but thriving and pursuing You and Your miraculous plan for us openly and fervently!
There's a light in the darkness
There's a love that's true
And Jesus is waiting
He is waiting here for you
Hearts are being broken
Lives are being changed
That's what this altar is for..
