In the hustle and bustle of life, it's easy to lose sight of what truly matters. We get caught up in our daily routines, chasing after success, fulfillment, and happiness in all the wrong places. But deep down, there's a longing within each of us that goes beyond the material world—a yearning for something greater, something more than ourselves. It's a yearning for connection, purpose, and ultimately, for God.
This is why revivals hold such a special place in the hearts of

As the nation comes together to honor the brave men and women who have served in the armed forces, Veterans Day takes on special significance in our hearts and minds. At Moraine City First Church of God, we take this opportunity to express our deepest gratitude and reflect on the sacrifices made by our veterans. This day is not just about acknowledging their service; it's a moment to appreciate the courage, dedication, and selflessness that define the spirit of our militar

One Body with Many Members

12 For just as the body is one and has many members, and all the members of the body, though many, are one body, so it is with Christ. 13 For in one Spirit we were all baptized into one body—Jews or Greeks, slaves[a] or free—and all were made to drink of one Spirit.
14 For the body does not consist of one member but of many. 15 If the foot should say, “Because I am not a hand, I do not belong to the body,” that would not make it any less a part of t

Hebrews 11:8-12 (ESV)
8 By faith Abraham obeyed when he was called to go out to a place that he was to receive as an inheritance. And he went out, not knowing where he was going. 9 By faith he went to live in the land of promise, as in a foreign land, living in tents with Isaac and Jacob, heirs with him of the same promise. 10 For he was looking forward to the city that has foundations, whose designer and builder is God. 11 By faith Sarah herself received power to conceive,

Salvation Doctrinal Statement

Pastor Donald Curtis
Salvation is one of the basic theological beliefs that is paramount to our understanding of the very love of God and for our entrance into the portals of Heaven. (Eph. 2:8-9)[1] I believe through this amazing testament that salvation has been offered to humankind as a direct gift from God to everyone who would believe and accept it. (John 3:16)[2] There is absolutely nothing we can do at all to earn, enhance or receive this gift outside of the very grac

The Cross

My morning drive takes me by the church building. This morning my attention was drawn to the mess that the construction and the rain has made and I decided to pull over. It is amazing to me how what looks like a mess on the outside is so beautiful on the inside, not carpet and paint beautiful, God beautiful.
On the other side of that wall, seven people decided to obey the Lord in baptism.
On the other side of that wall, the glorious Word of God was preached and praises to

God has a plan!

Many times we read verses in the Bible and to be honest I'm not sure we fully grasp the amazing message that God is trying to tell us. Some of those verses is in Jeremiah 29:11-12 which says, "For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the Lord, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end. 12 Then shall ye call upon me, and ye shall go and pray unto me, and I will hearken unto you." In these verses what really catches my attention is that G

Kneeprints

From the quiet of the front pew on a Monday morning, I caught a glimpse of something that I had not noticed before, and it struck me as so profoundly beautiful.
Knee prints.
Knee prints on the altar- still there from the day before. As I enjoyed the sunlight and the quiet, I thought of those that left the knee prints. People that God loves, being obedient to His call to come, humbling themselves, pouring out burdens too heavy to bear, receiving forgiveness, healing and pea

Don't miss the awe

It is so easy to slip into the pattern of just going about life, isn’t it? We go day to day focused on our never ending to-do list. There are kids or parents to take care of, bills to pay, people and work that needs your attention. Life is short. James 4:14 describes life as “a vapour, that appeareth for a little time, and then vanisheth away.” I don’t want to be an alarmist here, but what if you spend your whole life so focused on that “to-do” list and you mis
